This is an old piece I have had for 15 plus years. It was originally clear topaz from Nigeria then it was irradiated and then heated. The black spot is on the white pad and not the gem. It has the slightest veil but only visible under the loupe. Nice huge piece that will make a statment and set in sterling it would not cost much to have a really huge pendant. This gem was not cut by me but it was completely tested by me.
