  I have always loved the color of this mineral as it looks like the most sought after color in emeralds. Sadly it is only 5 on the hardness. I have cut about 5 of the gems but they too went into collections and not into jewelry. These are not what I consider cutters but very nice specimen or for the jeweler that wants to make a very fine pendant with them as they are which I have also done and it looked awesome..... No treatments
