  I bought a parcel of heated Kanchanaburi rich blue sapphires back in 1998. The color was good but even though heated most but not all had that silky glow about them so there was no need to facet them so I cabbed them. I sold many to the trade for a few years and I just have a few left and this is the largest. They are not black but they are a deep blue. They do make nice cabochon rings...
