  This material was cut and heated in Sri Lanka from rough I bought in 2000. It is a nice red and will make a lovely ring or pendant. The heating brought out more of the red but I lost a lot of the material in the heating process so it was a wash... I have had these cut gems in the safe for over 20 years and I will keep some for jewelry making but I do not need them all. They also were all about the same in color and clarity so I just kept 3 pairs and one single gem and sending out the rest to the masses. They are nice enough for me to make jewelry from them as they are natural no glass rubies...
