  This gem was cut by me from a 16.07 carat piece of cobbed rough bought in 2000 from Hilmar Bosch. Anything over 10 carat with this material I have to do a step cut pavilion as the intense purple is very rich and will go too dark for my taste over 10 carats. This one is not overly saturated and has good light return; fine purple and in certain lighting has a blue flash to the purple. The rest of the 1/4 kilo lot I bought will have to be step cuts or big royal purple cabochons as that is just the trade off. No treatments. Awesome ring or pendant gem.
