  This gem was cut from a much larger piece I had to trim down to remove flaws, the gem was then cut from a 12.9 ct piece of rough bought in 1998 from Hilmar Bosch. It is a very fine purple with a blue flash and the bad part of this material is that you can not cut a brilliant design over 4 carats or it will go too dark to see the lovely fine purple. So I am limited to step cuts to reveal the very fine color of this material. No treatments.
