  This gem was re-cut by me from a 7.07 carat poorly cut gem I got in a large parcel in 2024 from my friend in Tanzania that owns a cutting house. I think I got about 22 gems of this variety in various cuts, shades, tones, and colors, all from the same location. They are not common in these sizes and clarity and I will be re-cutting this material for some time, some are UV reactive and some I sent to the lab to make sure i knew what I was looking at. Material like this is here today and gone tomorrow and then the prices triple.. So when offered this type of material, I buy and re-cut. They did horrible jobs on them and many I will lose over 2 carats just to try and correct them as the material is too rare to waste. This is a nice sized gem and has good light return and the colors shift depending on the light source as some I have cut go from this golden yellow to a peach. cool stuff and no treatments.
