  This gem was a total re-cut from a 7.93 carat gem I bought from my Friend in Tanzania that owns a cutting house. I bought a large parcel of these grossularite garnets one because they were huge in terms of grossular garnets and also the colors were all over the place and just one of those situations where you buy when available as in 3, 6, 12 months that pocket will only be for the history books ... RI 1.735, some UV reactive properties. but the gem just glows.. Really intense and very lovely for a ring or pendant.. No treatments.. This is a very stunning gem and several I sent to the lab and all checked out what I evaluated.. Photos do not do this glowing gem the justice it deserves... Out of 20+ gems in this parcel there are a few that just stand out and this is one of them... I can easily see this cleaner material going for 100 a carat...
