  This is a real prize. Still healthy after 500 years... This blade is signed but no one has been able to figure it out yet. Sensei has their determination as Bungo; Tenbun; Taira Takada Masumori which would make this blade made around 1504. Very deep sori positioned at the tsuba and a very finely balanced blade. Not heavy at all, very fine Suguha with hotsure hamon with slight notare; with nioi and good activity, this blade is in full polish, very elegant blade, very small amount of loose grain, very small, and Ko-maru agari boshi that is all still intact.Very short un-cut ubu nakago and mei looks in right position for the nakago length; overall length is 31 5/8 inch; nagasa is 26 3/8 inch with a huge 7/8 inch sori. 1 1/8 inch width at ha-machi. Hada is Masame, itame mix, still tight; with a tiny loose grain in shinogi area. This blade is in the original WW2 mounts with leather colvered saya, all spacers, ito is very worn but everything is in tact; truely an ansetrial piece...
