  This gem was re-cut by me from a windowed 2.51 carat gem bought from Burma in 1997. It is RED; not black, not brown red; just red. I was going to send it to GIA but I know what it is but if you wish I have no doubt in my mind what it is as I know where I bought it and I did all the test myself; SG, RI is 1.713, 60x dark filed microscope, etc. etc... But if you sent it off and they say otherwise as to it being a natural spinel or even location i will refund you both the cost and the lab report when provided with the gem.. I have sent several from this dealer to the labs and all came back as we knew they would. It is a very classy gem and with no issues and if you check the prices I do not think anyone can beat this price.. Anywhere... No treatments in any way. Nice gem. I even cut it down to fit a standard mount..
