  This gem was cut by Dr. Grey Weaver from my rough. I bought this parcel of mineral specimen/facet rough a little over 2 years ago. My contact is a mineral specimen dealer and he picked through 10 kilos of crystal to get 1000 carats of what he considered good facet rough. This material is extremely blue and all indicators do not indicate any heat, irradiation, etc. I still have many terminated crystals with mica attached, dirt, gas inclusions, etc. that I know would have fractured even with moderate heat. The material was not cheap but when I went back to buy more it was out of the dealers price range and mine. The color is unreal... This gem has some veil type inclusions but it does not take away from the brilliance and color...Grey did a great job cutting. If anyone wants to see the crystals that is no problem. This contact also supplied me with good Vietnamese spinel rough for years.
