  This gem was cut by me from a 5.31 carat piece of rough. It tests as a Pyrope-Spessartite blend of garnet as the RI is 1.76. It is a very lovely and glowing red gem with a hint of orange therefore making it glow like a burning ember. This material goes too dark for me when cut into brilliant cuts. The almandine garnet facet rough reminds me of this material when cut. No treatments. And it will fit 9 x 7 mount easily.
